Alternating fuse in 2007 NS Silverado?

I just traded my 2006 Silverado for a 2007 NBS Silverado (60K less miles). When I went to plug my radar detector in I noticed there doesn't appear to be any fuses which turn off with the truck. Does anyone know if there is one? Typically I will plug my RD into a "radio" fuse or "wiper" fuse, or something which turns off with the truck... but all of these fuses are on, even when my truck is off now. It's frustrating because I have to be sure to turn my RD off/on manually now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Some fuses will stay powered up for up to 20 minutes after the key is turned off due to retained accessory power mode.

I think the radio will stay on until the door is openned and maybe even until its closed again

That makes sense as to why that fuse stays hot. Thanks. I had not thought about that.

Oh well, guess I'll have to do it manually.

Strange though that my 2006 had alternating fuses, but the 2007 does not.

Have you checked the wire for the HVAC system, it may be brown or orange wire in the ignition switch harness.

I've never messed with direct wiring before. I've always piggybacked the fuses. I guess I could give it a shot.

You could do it from the fuse. If you do it direct to the wire, don't use a scotch-lok splice, they can cause breakage

The fuse for the Aux Air worked perfect!
