Re: Honda CiViC - TYPE R LEGEND

If you haven't bought the can already, how about try the tamiya racing white instead? Maybe it will look more like the white on the type R cars....just a thought.
Keep up the good work!

Re: Honda CiViC - TYPE R LEGEND

for KAHO: Unfortunately I bought PURE WHITE and some modelers recomend me PURE WHITE. We'll see how it will look like after spraying...

for SIMAS17: No, I don´t plain to change wheels, wings or some parts of bodykit because I want to original CIVIC TYPE-R without tuning

Re: Honda CiViC - TYPE R LEGEND

Hello everybody. I have progress on my Honda. Here is:

Finished wheels with silver starch and H logo

Front brakes (original Honda CIVIC TYPE-R hasn´t red brake shoe. Originaly is a little bit more silver tone but when I used more silver paint this brake shoe began to coalesce from the brake disks)

Part of front axle

and exhaust pipe

Bodywork is in white after second layer and I wait when confirmed the surface... ENJOY

any comments please

Looks good, you should try putting a black wash around the lug nuts though.

Re: Honda CiViC - TYPE R LEGEND

you are off to a nice start! I would suggest test fitting the suspension and wheels first since the stock suspension sits very high and makes the civic look like a 4x4.

Re: Honda CiViC - TYPE R LEGEND

Hi.
I have progress on my HONDA. Here some photos

Rear axle:

I must add sway bars on rear axle

This interior is terrible. Door panels hasn´t any details and Honda CiViC TYPE-R hasn´t armrest between seats

I must repair it.

Some pohotos of bodywork:

First part of wing:

bodywork (without polishing ! because Tamiya polishing past is on the way from HLJ.COM)

detail photo of side mirrors

Re: Honda CiViC - TYPE R LEGEND

Wow I didn't know type R's don't have armrests in the cabin unlike normal civics until today! Thanks for the heads up! Good luck recreating the interior, I built one of these before and the door panels were hopeless! If it is me I would take the door panels right off another civic kit by Revell, that will save days of work for sure.
Another thing I don't like about the Fujimi kit is that the headlights look a little off. The bumper and grill looks updated but the lenses look like it came from before the facelift.

Your mirror looks really reflective!
