this is my friends accord, he says that when he starts his car, sometime it will start but idle rough, or it wont start at all and if we wait a few minutes it will start and run. Also when he is driving and he lets off of the throttle it will die. He has changed the fuel pressure regulator and still has the same problems. Also we have looked many times and traced the whole fuel line system for a fuel filter with no results but that there is not one, contrary to what any manual or technition may say. The only fuel fitler is in the tank. So all this leads me to think that its the fuel pump. Any sugestions would be great, thanks

Why did you replace FPR? Was that a shot gun approach, or did you get any codes?

What is the maintenance history of the vehicle? When were the spark plugs, distributor cap replaced?

Do you have any codes now?

Go to www.tegger.com for testing/diagnostics. This site is great!

Good luck,

Sam

On my son's 95 LX fuel filter is under the master cylinder. I believe that on 99 LX it is under the MC as well.

well like i said this is not my car, my friend got codes from a dealer when he had it looked at, they said that it was the fpr, but if u know dealers like i do they might have been cheating him so i dont know, we just wanted to rule out a possible cause, i do think that his engine light is on though,

like i said we have looked at the entire fuel system and no filter, someone has told us that the only one is the strainer on the fuel pump. The car has a rebuilt title so i think they might have removed the actual filter and didn't replace it,
