new here so please take it easy..

1988 isuzu trooper automatic 2.6 199670 miles., all warning lights come on and off. when they come on the alternator does not charge. then if they r on when i crank the vechical it shuts down after a second as the fuel pump is not working. i can jump the relay for the fuel pump and drive just to have the battery will go dead. on a occasion the lights will go off only to come back on again several miles later.

Though it could be a bad connection or bad ground issue, this sounds like the alternator going belly up. All kinds of "strange" occurrences are known to happen as the alternator is on its way out. I would go have it tested. One thing you want to remember when you get ir repaired. Make sure the battery is fully charged. An alternator is not designed to work as a battery charger. A badly discharged battery can fry an alternator; they just can't handle the work.
