Question * best corolla tires * please help

Hello,

I have a 2003 toyota corolla S with 100k.

I am approaching my 4th set of tires.

I changed out the factory tires (goodyear integrity) @ approx 42k.

I went to goodyear assurance comfort tread tires and had to get them changed out way before the mileage @ 75k (33k on them and they are an 80k tire)

I now have Pirelli p3000 tires on it and put them on @ 75k. They are an 85k mile tire and are already on 6/32 and they started @ 11/32. I only have 25k on them and will only get about 35k out of an 85k tire!

Discount tire will once again, prorate them when they get to 5/32, which @ this rate will be another 3/4 months.

I drive about 85% highway and all my tires are wearing evenly.

I have had the struts replaced and my alignment seems perfect. I always get them rotated as I should.

Can some one please recommend the best tire (195/65/15) on their experience.

Thank You!

Try Michelin tires.
I've been in the auto repair field for over 30 years and I've noticed Michelin tires seem to last the longest out of them all......with less problems also.
They are more expensive, but you do get an excellent tire for the price.

Just my two cents.

I was considering the Micheline Destiny tires.

Anyone have them?

If so, do you like them?

I want a really good tire and one that is not too noisy.

"alignment seems perfect"

Have you actually had both the front and rear aligned by a competent alignment shop? If you replace struts on on four corners you need this done. Your car will drive okay after a strut change and not seem out of alignment, but it is.

Yes,

I had a 4 wheel alignment after the struts where replaced last October.

I can leave my hand off of the wheel for quite some distance.

So, I believe the alignment is as close to perfect as it can get.

Just an update.

Today (Wednesday 6/17/09) I purchased 4 new Michelin Destiny tires. Discount Tire gave me $260 credit for my Pirelli P3000's I had on my car.

Complete out the door with taxes, siping, 4 replacement certificates, mounting, everything $323.00.

Not a bad deal.

Thanks for all input given.
