1988 4WD Chevy Silverado..HornJoshua1938 06-13-2009, 08:22 PM I just acquired a 1988 Chevy 1/2 ton Silverado, short bed, 4WD. 350, auto.. The truck had the horns disconnected. I don't know why. There are two green wires that look like they were cut (disconnected) to the driver side horn. The black wire is still intact on the harness. Just a wild guess.. I assume the green wires are ground and the black wires are hot. The passenger side horn is connected but does not work.. I don't get any voltage through any of the wires from either horn. I do not have a 'horn' fuse on the fuse panel located to the lower left of the steering column. Is there a fuse just for the horn? The horn button on the steering wheel has a connector (female) that is not connected to anything. There is no wire coming through the column for the horn button.. I tested the horns and they work using a 12 volt battery. I need to know how to connect them, any relays??..where they are at if applicable..wiring and a scedmatic would be very helpful. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.. Josh vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
