02 Dakota shaking and power loss

My 02 Dakota 3.9 will just occasionally shaking and loosing massive power. It kinda feels like its flooded or missing. I'm pretty sure it only does this when either the defroster or air conditioner is on. The check engine light has been on for 30,000 miles. I gave up on it after I took it to a mechanic and the code was vaccum leak. I replaced a cracked hose but the light came right back on. Pls help. thanks,

Re: 02 Dakota shaking and power loss

Get a can of carburetor cleaner spray around the intake manifold edges and other hoses or areas where a leak can occur. If you hit a leak it will smooth out immediately.
