Re: Bad parts at Auto Zone??
Bad parts are always a possibility. Typically, if the electrical connector fits and the part physically fits, the part is "correct". By that I mean it usually works. I won't use Autozone parts (especially electronics), they seem to be low quality and the people there tend to be completely incompetent. On the subject of incompetence, what is this mechanic's logic behind replacing the TPS for an IAT code?
Also, there is no code for "bad IAT sensor". A code for any sensor means the problem can be anywhere in the circuit. Check for power and ground with a volt meter. A test light is inaccurate and can damage most computer circuits. I would begin by returning the AZ part and getting a genuine AC Delco part, or at least a "Standard" brand part. Standard are quite a bit cheaper in many cases, and they seem to work great for everything (except CMP and CKP sensors in some cases).

When you buy something... a bottle of pop for example, who gets the profit from it and what do they do with it? Maybe your money's going to groups that want to hurt you. I think everyone should do a search for things they purchase regularly "____ supports". Might just find a company you won't buy stuff from anymore.
