Replacing the Oil Pan Gasket on a 2000 Trooper?

I've got a leaking oil pan gasket on my 2000 4WD Trooper and I'd like to replace it. Does anyone have a procedure for this? Obviuosly getting to the pan is the whole issue; from what the service manual says it seems like a lot of work just to drop the oil pan. Any advice?

Thanks.
