Final help on the Aftermarket BulbsKoojo 10-23-2001, 10:44 PM So Im probably going to get piaas for my car because i can get the heads and the fogs for a total of $100 I think. I will probably go with the superwhites. 1.) Do they also offer superwhites for the fogs? 2.) Some people buy those H3 Amber bulbs for the fogs. Those emit a yellowish light instead of a bluish right? I want blue for the heads and the fogs. 3.) I know that the clearance light looks bad if you leave it stock, so is it possible to go to a local store and buy those cheap 'immitiation' blue bulbs (5w) and put them on so there would be a blue light instead of the yellow? GtRider 10-24-2001, 12:26 AM woah a 100 buck just for your headlight and fog light bulbs? thats kinda alota money! stick with hyper white buy like 55-65watt headlight bulbs 55watt fog light bulb buy a hyper white peanut bulbs for your parking lights. atomic-G 10-24-2001, 02:19 AM I changed all my bulbs on my G and the only one that ended up with a blueish tint was the head lights, that were using the H4 Xenon Plasma bulbs which I got for $35. The fogs I went with the H3 Eurolites for $25 and clearance I got $10 ones. Both the fogs and clearance are whites, not yellows - while the heads are white with the blue tint. I will get a picture if I can of them. No burnout or anything 'yet' :) - but like I said, I don't drive much in the evenings, so I don't utilize the lights that much at all. kenchan 10-24-2001, 01:25 PM my p11 is using piaa's. h4 superwhites 55/60w $60? 168 superwhite 5w $15? h3 ion crystal 55/60w $40? no problems yet. had them on about 6-7 weeks. Koojo 10-24-2001, 06:31 PM I went to the auto store and they gave me a quote on how much all is gonna cost: PIAA 15660 H4 Platinum Super Whites 60/55W = $55 (have a 110/100w discharge) PIAA 15455 H3 Platinum Super Whites 55W/85W = $39 PIAA 19169 168 (clearance) Platinum Super Whites 5W = $11 All came out to about $106. How good of a deal is that? I was thinking about getting plasma, but they said those arent legal, but the platinum superwhites were, which still gave you a bluish tint that I liked. b-b00gie 10-24-2001, 08:23 PM Koojo, our foglights are 35W. PIAA makes an H3 Platinum Super White in 35W or 55W. I believe the 35W models is part number: 13435 which is for foglights. The H3 bulb that is 55W is for H3 headlights ;) Koojo 10-24-2001, 09:49 PM Originally posted by b-b00gie Koojo, our foglights are 35W. PIAA makes an H3 Platinum Super White in 35W or 55W. I know that the stock are 35w. But it says in the PIAA manual that the Infiniti G20's can use the 55w fog light bulbs. And many people in this forum DO use 55w H3's for the fogs. I think someone earlier said they even use a 75w bulb for the fogs. I wont go that far, but I do want the 55w fogs. Which is Part Number: 15455. Koojo 10-24-2001, 10:12 PM Is there even a PIAA H3 35W Platinum Super Whites bulb? I looked around and couldnt find them, I could only find the 55w in the Platinum Super Whites. frogg 10-24-2001, 10:18 PM I know for a fact the Xenon headlight bulbs wont ruin anything because I've had mine on for over a year 1/2 and they are fine. As for the fogs, dont know. Anyways.. What do I need if I'm gonna add fog lights to my G? I just have the little plastic things in the place of where the fogs are supposed to go. kenchan 10-25-2001, 12:34 AM hummm... 55w on the fog seems to be working fine. haven't burned out a fuse yet. but if you can find 35w, you might wanna just go for that...otherwise could end up with a melted harness. frogg 10-25-2001, 01:15 AM Originally posted by kenchan otherwise could end up with a melted harness. My brother's Jetta ended up with a melted headlight harness and they charged him an arm and a leg to get it fixed. b-b00gie 10-25-2001, 08:37 AM Originally posted by Koojo Is there even a PIAA H3 35W Platinum Super Whites bulb? If you still cant find it, I think cartoys.com has them. Koojo 10-25-2001, 10:10 AM ya b-b00gie i cant find them anywhere. tried to look at cartoys.com and couldnt find the 13435's. are you sure that part number 13435 refers exactly to 35W Platinum Super Whites, and not just a general bulb? If i go to a car store and tell them the number they probably wont be able to find it either, but I dunno. What do you recommend? b-b00gie 10-25-2001, 10:36 AM ...whoopz :D i meant www.autotoys.com ;) here's the exact link: http://store.autotoys.com/cgi-bin/wfp53024.storefront/3bd823140231633e275ad8f5a5060625/Product/View/PIAA13435 Koojo 10-26-2001, 09:43 PM Hey b-b00gie whats up? i went to that local auto store today and had them put in part number 13435 in their computer. It came up as PIAA 'Replacement Bulbs'. I ordered 2 bulbs. So you positive that I am going to get the 35W Platinum Super Whites when they come in? I know it seems like I am freekin out over this thing, but I just like doing things right the first time, so hopefully those are the correct bulbs.
