ford f-150 ticking when transmission shifts

I have a f-150 and when starting to go forward it sounds as if it ticks when the transmission shifts.The tick could be from the transfercase.The truck has 109000 miles on it and replaced the u-joints and clutches in the rear.The transmission shifts great,its the ticking noise that driving me nuts.
