2005 Pathfinder ac blower problem

I have a 2005 Pathfinder. The AC will only come on when the fan speed is on 1, if you turn the fan higher the AC light goes off but if you turn it back to 1 it comes back on. Sometimes it will work on all 4 fan speeds but usually not. I have been told it may be the blower motor resister. Can anyone tell me where the resister is located and how to test it? Thanks.

the resistors are a block usually mounted in the fan assy t
here are a number of terminals you should get ba resistance reading with an ohm meter resistance should increase as you change from 1 terminal to another
resistors are in series with each other

Re: 2005 Pathfinder ac blower problem

The resistor slides up into the fan shroud on the passengers side near the top of the carpet. 2 screws hold it in and a white connector is plugged into it. I unplugged it, took the 2 screws out, pulled the old one out then bought a new one from the dealership for $40 and put it in. Now the ac works on all 4 fan settings.
