FNA 05-27-2009, 11:33 AM Problem is with battery ot connec tions, regardless of being new. You have to look at whole picture. You write "selenoid is new ignition mod is new. i have in the past had to pull the shifter further into Park or into neutral to start." Does the above have anything to do with "the dash lights wont come on, buzzers wont work. headlights wont come on"? Your problem is not in the starting system nor the ignition system, rather it is the electrical system. Start at the beginning. Where does your truck get electrical power to run headlights, starter, seat buzzer and igntion? Start there and 'go with the flow' (of current). fordtrucksonly 05-30-2009, 12:52 AM It dosen't have to be a battery terminal, although i would start there. It could be a ground strap loose or disconnected. Davescort97 05-30-2009, 04:10 AM Check the voltage at each junction of the positive cable until you find an open. You say the battery is good. Have you checked it with a volt meter -- 12.8 Volts at rest . The starting problem is probably related to the lack of power to everything else. If you get that fixed and it still won't do anything check the neutral safety switch on the shifter. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
