Hey Tahoe Forum,

I have a leak on my oil filter housing. I believe that it is the gasket that goes between the block and the filter housing. I would like to replace either the entire part or the seal(recommendations here pleasE) but I can't seem to find either on the internet. Maybe I'm not searching for the part under its correct name.??... Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should be searching for? Additionally could I get some advice on how to replace this part?

Thanks!

The cooler line housing that is in question, has an O-ring that seals it to the block. I dought that the seal is leaking. It is more likely the housing itself. Dealer or salvage yard only I'm afraid. I had one come apart on my 1990 K-1500, On a Sunday no less, so I removed the housing and reached into my stash and installed an older block design filter thread housing, blocked off the cooler lines and put a short filter back in its place. (AC PF454). The filter needs to be short for the front drive shaft clearence. My kid is has been driving it this way for two years.
