hey all my friend is gettin a 02 wrx n we have a couple of questions,
1: what is the maximum speed out the factory, we heard that it is 135,
2: what modifications can u do that will not void the factory warnte?
like will puting a intake, exaust, downpipe, b.o.v. front mounted intercooler and a boost controller and upgraded fuel pump with the boost turned to 14p.s.i. and maybe a 2"drop will viod the warntee?

1. top speed is 155(governed)
2. any mods to engine, chassis, exhaust will pretty muchvoid the warranty. At some subie dealers they will install STi parts and still leave the warranty, but not all dealers do.

It will endanger, but not all mods will void the warranty.
When you buy the car, ask them what mods affect the warranty, some will and some won't. My friends car has an intake and flowmaster on it, no affect on the warrenty, but if he dropped the suspension...there goes the warranty for him.....

Like was mentioned, anything they do to the car before delivery does nothing to the warranty, this means that any STI add ons the dealer can fit, by a Subaru shop, will not affect the warrenty.
Once you take delivery of the car, it is a different story though, then you have to be careful about what effects your warranty.

from what i've read, even the factory installed "subaru performance parts" can void the warranty.

the warranty is really strict, and will not allow most mods.

the only mod you can do from the dealer is a k&n filter,it help's out I guess, but I'll say to hell with the waranty, my opinion is MOD IT TILL IT BLEED'S!!!!!

hey the accesories aren't that bad but they are limited:( but yet it is good, I especially like the sti exhaust, you can see the accesories that don't void the warranty at:
