Oil Pressure

After running about 50 miles on the highway this weekend, my oil pressure light has started to flicker at under 1000 rpm. The dipstick shows full of 5w30. Any guesses, is this an oil pump problem, or could I have turned a bearing in the bottom end? Any help is appreciated.

I would remove the sending unit and do a pressure test with an oil guage and see what you get.

Re: Oil Pressure

The sending unit is a universal type and cost about $6.00 at any auto parts store.

Re: Oil Pressure

Thanks, all. The problem cleared itself and has not reocurred. My best guess is a glitch in the oil relief valve, gauge sender, or something similar, that worked its way out.
