New to the Civic World....!!

Well,, i got my 02' EX Civic last week. I used to be in the Minitruckin world,, but got out of that. SO,, i have searched the forums and came up somewhat empty handed. I would appreciate the help on my questions. Sorry if they are stupid newbie questions, but then again, im new to this so... sorry for long post, but please help!

1. First off, i havent seen any threads on the new AEM CIA intake, i believe hey call it the V2. Any one use this yet, and pros or cons?

2. I want to lower the car. I want it to be done right the first time. I dont want to ride down the road and be nervous about something breaking, ive been there and done that (hydros). I want a system that is a nice ride. no bouncing. I will more than likely have 17" wheels. I thought about the coilover thing, but seems everyone with those has some kind of bounce. and that is just more stuff to break. I would like to have them if someone can recommend a good setup that will not bounce.

If i go coilover, i suppose i will have the option of going from stock down to around 4" correct?
If i go springs and shocks, i dont want to slam the car, it will not be strictly race car, it will be daily driven, but i like the show, so, i prob will have a body kit eventually. Maybe 1" to 2" at most.

So if anyone can help me on these would be great. Like is said, i want a nice ride, very close to stock, but lowered about 1" to 2" at most with 17" wheels and no scrubbing. Please list setups and brand names..

Sorry for the long post,,, thanks!!

I got a friend with, I believe Skunk2 coil-overs, and Koni adjustable shocks and the ride is smooth as hell. You could probably get Tokico blues that work almost as well for cheaper. As far as springs, I'm a coilover guy so maybe someone else can help you.

well, i just went out ot the tokico website, and seen where they have a coilover kit. Anyone use this before. How come alot of people mix them up? They use say, eibach springs and tokico shocks? why not use the same from a company?

Well,, i forgot to mention, that i dont really want to spend over 1k on my suspension. I see where people seem to like this combo..

Ground Control coil over kit with Koni yellow shocks?
is this a good kit?

that set-up gets alot of praise. however your're still talking like $800 for this set-up. so for $75 more you could have tein ss

I completely recomend eibach sportline springs and KYB AGX gas adjustable shocks. MY car was lowered last friday and it rides soo nice. Not a bounce at all its almost like stock even though it has a 1.8" drop. Nice looking and a good ride i would get it.

i didnt know it costed that much,,,

so the ground control IS eibach springs with ground control coil overs?

is there a cheaper setup that rides like stock? I was hoping i wouldnt have to spend over $500 bucks on the suspension.

those who do have coil overs,, do they have alot of problems?

does any company make a spring/coilover/shock for my 2002 ex?

lol I know it cost an arm and a leg to lower a car the right way. Check out www.modacar.com and look at some of the suspension packages for your car, they have the lowest prices I've seen around. And they're all still name brand parts!
