Just Fluid and filter change but no flush may help but forget the Lucas.

Lucas transmission is like motor honey.
Only use it with transmission on last leg to get a few more miles out of it

How is fluid level?
Check what is in the bottom of pan and filter when changing fluid and filter.
Post back what you find there.

Re: "00" s10 tranny P1870 code

Code 1870 a lot of times leads to internal transmission damage.
A lot of times usd car dealers will just put a band aid on the problem.
Get everything in writing.
And.

If you buy it make them give you a good full warranty on the transmission.
Good Luck
