1997 Cavalier wipers park in middle on delay

I have a 1997 Chevy Cavalier that the wipers park in the middle of the windshield when on delay. The motor, circuit board, and switch inside hte car have all been replaced. The wipers park fine when shut off, but when it is on delay only is when it parks in the middle. I have worked on a couple of cavaliers with the same problem but, replacing the board usually helps. ANYONE KNOW WHAT ELSE THERE COULD BE?!?!

I assume this is a bit late, but just in case you can still use the info. It also may not apply. My '04 has the good old fashioned kind that doesn't move up a couple inches when the wiper are on and then move back down when they are off, I just figured all Cavaliers are like that, but I was working on one today and accidentally hit the wiper switch and noticed that it (a '96) did have it. On the wiper transmission, there is a tab that comes really close to the big wiper gear. They bend out of the way over time, and usually make the wipers park at the top of the stroke all the time (why I said this may not apply to your problem). Just bend it back to where it should be. It's been years since I've done one, so I'm sorry I can't give any real detail about it. Any way, I think the problem would just about have to be in the transmission since you replaced just about everything else.

When you buy something... a bottle of pop for example, who gets the profit from it and what do they do with it? Maybe your money's going to groups that want to hurt you. I think everyone should do a search for things they purchase regularly "____ supports". Might just find a company you won't buy stuff from anymore.

Hey thanks for the info. We just got the same info today and that was the problem. You are a little late, but it was a good thing to confirm the problem. Again, Thanks!
