The price of them have fallen due to the bad economy.Price of Classic vehicles went down and most do not sell at auctions which may get worse.RM had an auction in Novi,Mi and most did not sell

for 78-85, I wouldent pay more than 5K for a decent running car. If you want a mint 78-85 expect to pay 8-9K. 73-77 is probably the least desireable ones, since i dont follow them i dont know what they are worth (nothing to me)

then the 70-72 (big block) are gonna be expensive 5-10K for a driver with rust. 20K restored.

Why is the 73-77 El Caminos least desirable?

no real reason i just think they are ugly and the motors were crap.

Thanks, I bought a '73, and I do agree the engine sucks hind teat. I got it for $2700.00, so the price was right, it's got an electronic ignition, so far all I've relced on it was the windshield for $115.00 and a good sanding and repair/bondo behind it for the windshield warranty What would be a good economical solution to get the engine up to 350 standards? I am thinking intake and exhaust. But what types? I was at a stoplight next to a diesel w/o trailer, he sped up, I thought I would be able to get in front of 'em for the single lane, and the diesel beat me to the merge, that sucked. No power at lower speeds.
