Hey everyone,

My 92 PA started making some odd metal grinding/clanking noises tonight when I would make a turn. It doesn't quite sound like a CV joint problem, as its not so much clicking but metal hitting metal. It almost sounded like I was dragging my muffler. I did a look under and didn't see anything hanging down.

I had the drivers side sway bar bolt break a year ago and I replaced it, I was wondering if the passengers side broke would it make this kind of noise? It also only seems to make the noise with a passenger on board. I tried to get the car to make the noise again when I was alone and couldn't.

Any ideas?

and see if your noise seems similar. I still haven't resolved it, but the car is still going more than 10K miles later. Mine was originally only noticable when turning fairly hard, the people that detected it were probably weaving as if in a tight slalom. The sound has changed over time, as has how much and when it happens. I'm over it vs the vibration and pull I have to deal with anymore.
