2001 Automatic TransmissionBlueGoldAce 04-30-2009, 06:43 PM I have been having some transmission problems (which I won't go into here due to lack of time). I put some C-Foam for transmission into the fluid and then had it changed. When I had it changed I had some TransX added with it. This has fixed the problem to the point where it is not occurring as often. The bottle said it was good for 9 quarts of fluid, my truck hold 13...do you think another bottle would do any good in solving the problem? If not I am looking a some expensive mechanical work....and who had that much money these days? Thanks MagicRat 05-02-2009, 07:02 PM Following the manufacturer's recommendations is usually a good thing. therefore, a half-bottle of TransX is called for. FWIW I have found when transmissions start to display problems, remedies such as fluid and filter changes and additives correct such problems about 1/3 of the time. Most of the time, though, the problem is not fixed, (or not fixed permanently) and will require additional attention. However, TransX is cheap, compared to a rebuild, so its worth a try. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
