Hey I got a major problem...Its hot and I need my a/c. I got a 2000 tahoe limited with front and rear a/c. I found a hole in the line that my orifice tube is located on. How difficult is it to replace this line? Do I need to replace everything ie ..liquid line junction block and the other line that comes out of this y shaped block? Any help would be appreceiated.

Some parts stores will replace sections of the rubber hose that are bad. You can purchase new hoses at the dealer.
If pinched for cash you can buy hoses at a scrapyard be very careful they aren't plugged with bugs as they will nest in them.
It depends on what part is leaking.

Since that line is 3/8 aluminum, you can use a swagelock splicing union, or put in an inline filter (available from A/C Delco) both require you cut out about 2 inches of the line and insert the compression fittings- works very well- I've done it several times mostly underneath the truck on the rear lines. Never had on come back......

Another possibility is take it off and have your welder buddy weld the hole shut (aluminum weld expert preferred)

Or merely buy the new line from your local GM dealer-- it is up to you....

I have the same issue of the 'Rear lines leaking", my thoughts are to block the rear lines from the front where they start. Would you (or anyone) happen to know the size of the 2 lines going to the back, it seems that one is bigger than the other, so that i can get the correct fittings/plugs.
thx

Update:
The return line (the bigger one) is 3/4"
The rear line (Smaller line) is 3/8"
Both lines can be plugged successfully by using "Swage lock" connectors (approx: 12/= and 30/= for connectors)
