93 regal 3.1L dies going down the roadzips51 04-26-2009, 02:09 AM today I experienced my regal dying going down the road. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and it starts back up. Did this 3 or 4 times and gave up. It has a new fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs and wires. Any suggestions richtazz 04-29-2009, 11:52 AM I would suspect either a bad CKPS (CranK Position Sensor), ICM (Ignition Control Module) or ECM (Emissions Control Module). To narrow it down, more testing will be necessary. You'll need to test for spark and injector pulse, as well as do a fuel pressure test (don't rule out the fuel pump just because it's been replaced before). The big chain auto parts stores will test your ICM for free if you take it to them. Some of them may have a fuel pressure guage and noid light set available in their free tool loan program as well. zips51 06-25-2009, 05:08 PM Late reply, sorry about that. It was the CKPS, and the ICM. Got that problem fixed, now having problems starting the car after the motor has been running for 45 min or so. richtazz 06-26-2009, 08:48 AM is the engine not turning over, or is the starter turning the engine and it's just not firing? zips51 06-26-2009, 02:43 PM It is not turning over. it starts to but acts like there isn't enough power for it to turn all the way. 3800Regal92 06-26-2009, 09:38 PM how is your alternator, battery terminals, voltage return from the alt. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
