Transmission Helpbaseball_playa1575 04-21-2009, 03:22 PM I have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee with a 42re transmission. I have a code 26 that is governor pressure sensor offset drift. I have no first gear when in drive. The only way i can get it is by shifting to neutral or park and going really fast to 1st. I replaced the governor pressure sensor and solenoid but still have the problem. Any ideas? nova73noir 04-23-2009, 12:10 AM I have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee with a 42re transmission. Any ideas? do you ajust your front band when you flush the pan? you have to flush the pan to do this you need a torque wrench baseball_playa1575 04-23-2009, 10:27 AM I have never adjusted the bands. Is it something easy to do after dropping the pan? Also I can still put it in first but only after going into neutral or park first, if the band wasnt adjusted wouldnt I lose 1st until it is adjusted right? nova73noir 04-23-2009, 10:42 AM I have never adjusted the bands.
