Cars of Japanese brands have a good a crash test result, like Honda, Nissan..but weight of Japanese car is kinda light, the car body has very thin steel plates. American cars are much heavier..I don't think a Honda Accord will has the advantage when crashes with a Buick LaSabre though Honda has a better crash test result.

I agree with you 100%, the Japs may have had engine advantage for 2 decades, but never the frame.
