Re: 93 Ranger 4cly tow ???????????

In my 1994 ford ranger manual a the 4cyl engine is not recommended for towing unless it has the 3.75 gears in the rear end which you probably do not have, and then under 1600 lbs total weight of trailer. minus extra weight of cargo and passengers. I wouldn't even even think about trying to launch a boat with a 2 wheel drive ranger truck. My truck spins tires on level pavement in the rain. I don't know how you pull a boat out of the water on a wet slimy boat dock. So in a nutshell the answer would be no you can not safely do it.
