abs & brake light ontaydan47 04-14-2009, 04:39 PM I know some of you are tired of seeing this posting, but I do have a problem with my abs/brake lights being on. I've replaced the rear speed sensor, and purchased a used abs module, and had the garage reprogram it. My lights are still on. Any further things to try? It seems by reading the postings, that the only reason to change the rear speed sensor is when the speedometer is not operating correctly. Thanks for your help. LS1Diva 08-21-2009, 08:55 PM Besides the rear speed sensor there is a speed sensor on the drivers side of the transmission that will cause those lights to illuminate. mexican mechanic 09-15-2009, 12:08 PM you need to change this there is a speed sensor on the drivers side of the transmission ,change that and if you already change the one in the back ,then just disconect the battery wires and conect it again ,that should do,anyway i did that in my and it work just fine, good luck IDAHOKID 10-13-2009, 02:46 PM hello there, i had this same problem with my 99 durango, luckily (or unluckily, however you look at it) the lights were on when i purchased the vehicle from the dealership and was given a promisory note when i purchased that they would fix the problem free of charge.. When they first scanned it it came back that the wheel sensor needed replaced, they replaced the sensor and 20 miles down the road both of the lights came back on.. I took it back in and then it was reading that it needed a new ABS control module, they just replaced this and everything seems to be in working order since then, the lights havent come on since.. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
