1994 Grand Cherokee

Hi, I had my jeep inspected has 184k on it, he passed it but told me it need front end work,
I look under and the sway bar on one end is broken off it's mount, I want to take the mount off, it has an 18 mm bolt on one end and the other looks like a torx bolt, sprayed with pb blaster, not wanting to give at all, waiting for the fluid to soak in! Questions: what size is this torx bolt ? how much do these " sway bar mounts cost " ? The mechanic told me it needs a steering stabilzer, however, it shows no leakage, if I take the bar that is attached to the pitman arm is does have play in it. Any thoughts on this problem? Thanks

Without looking at it, can't tell what size the torx head is. I'd think something like a T55 or so (that's roughly 9 or 10mm).

Steering stabilizer is, in effect, a shock absorber, so it could be worn out and not show anything on the outside. Old Man Emu makes a really good one, I'd recommend theirs if you are going to go aftermarket.

Re: 1994 Grand Cherokee

Thanks, Another question, got the nuts freed fron the "TORX" bolts, Is the bolt threaded into the mount, or can I it with a hammer and make it come out the other side?
