89 Blazer Intermittent/Wash Wipe Module

I have an 1989 S10 Blazer 4.3L 4 wd. I replaced the rectangular circuit board that resides under the wiper motor rectangular plastic cover with a GM board. This unit has worked intermitently and has now pretty much stopped working after 6 months. I only have high speed wipers working and no self parking or wash /wipe function most of the time now. I am away from home and need to replace this board again. I am going to avoid the GM board this time. It was very expensive and didn't work out of the box. I didn't find that out until I hit snow 4 hours away from home. I have looked on line and I see a smaller circuit board specified for the 89 Blazer but it isn't the one that I have. Here is a link to the incorrect board.

As it says, it will not replace the rectangular board. I have the rectangular board. I don't seem to be able to find this on the web. Can you anyone provide me with a part number or source for this rectangualr board? The original is sitting in my garage 1000 miles away!

thanks Mark

When you say it didn't work "Out of the Box" does that mean you had to do something to it? I know these circuit boards had a lot of issues with broken solder joints. Did you try to repair it?

I would suggest you try a GM Dealership near where you are at. The only other option I could give you would be GMpartsdirect.com or Rockauto.com

Good Luck
