Intermittent wiper in a CX hatch

since I bought the CX (not by choice, but what I found) it did not even come with the intermittent wiper option. SO with no intermittent, you are stuck with the wipers on slow, or constantly turning the wipers on and off.

2 things needed.

1. the wiper switch stalk that has intermittent option on it. (any dx + model should have this)

2. the control module (from a dx+ model that has the intermittent wiper option) on the back side of the fuse box. it is about the size of an index card, and it is just held in place by snapping into place (no screws).

swap those 2 in and you have the function! I have done this to my car, so I know it works.

Re: Intermittent wiper in a CX hatch

I just bought column and wiper assy out of 95 DX sedan to change over my 93 CX hatch.
I didn't know about the control module on fuse panel.
Are you saying the motors are same?
Having to cut wipers on and off is a real bummer.

my timing belt is off 1 tooth, so i might be able to do some photos regarding that.

Re: Intermittent wiper in a CX hatch

Did what you said and mine worked like a charm.
Glad I read this thread before changing motor like I was originally going to.
Thanks.
