Engine Mechanical problemMR.Tony 04-09-2009, 03:35 PM 2000 GMC Sierra V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles When ever the Truck (http://www.2carpros.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=538768#) gets to opperating temperature it will stall out and die, the truck will not start again until it has cooled down. the problem started out inconsistant but now happens daily. i have changed the fuel pump in the gas tank twice using AC Delco parts, i have changed the fuel filter, mass flow sensor cam sensor, crank sensor, 2 O2 sensors, fuel regulator, complete tune up, all of the fuses and the thermostat. i have no idea what to do know and this problem has already cost me close to 2000.00 dollars, can you help me out. maxwedge 04-09-2009, 03:59 PM Welcome to AF, do you have spark and fuel press. when it won't start, will it start with starting fluid in the intake, basic steps here. duke350 04-09-2009, 09:09 PM Sounds like an ignition control module. Works when cool, heats up and no problems. But, proper testing before just throwing parts at it. Do you have access to a scan tool? A scope? Any diagnostic equipment? First step is to find out whats missing when it wont run, just as maxwedge suggested. ctwright 04-09-2009, 09:48 PM Also too does this vehicle have coil packs or a distributor and single coil? Agreed with the rest though first check for spark and fuel when having the problem and get back. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
