In the last year I have replaced 4 fuel pumps. My car always jerks and jumps when I drive it. Theories aplenty about my spark plugs. Today the jumping went nuts and my check engine light is on. This car is nickle and diming me and I can not buy a new one....any ideas? I did replace the spark plugs and plug 4 is not arcing like the rest and is weaker but would that cause the check engine light to come on?

i dunno, what are the trouble codes?

goto autozone, have them read it if it's an obdII car (96 and up)

write the codes down, tell em to reset/clear the codes... see if it comes back on

how did you know #4 is not arcing like the rest? one of the codes that'll show up will be a misfire then

most likely a coil pack going bad have replaced a few of the is this a 2.4 and why have you put 4 fuel pumps?
