Air Cleaner

I pulled the cover off of my air cleaner to clean the air filter yesterday. I noticed the cover had gas on the inside of it. It wasn't dripping wet but enough that when I turned it on its side it did run a little. The bottom of the air cleaner had none. The gas was in the middle of the cover right over the fuel injectors. Any ideas on why or what to check. I hadn't removed the air cleaner since last summer. I do have a problem that when it's cold it will run rough until it warms up or I step on the throttle if that might help.

Re: Air Cleaner

Sorry about that, 94 K1500 5.7L throttle body injected. Over the last year- EGR valve, intake gasket, fuel filter, throttle position sensor and other items not related to this. No codes either. Plugs cap and rotor about 20k ago.

these at this age have a diaphram that ruptures in the throttle body injection ...this must be the gas /fuel on the air filter problem..
