Re: No power to the transmission fuze?
What year? If it's a '95, more than likely, otherwise if you want to verify it, back-probe the wires coming out of the ignition switch.

Re: No power to the transmission fuze?
I've replaced 4 ignition switches in '95s, not in a '96 yet, but I'd have to agree with the diagnosis. If you look at the wiring schematics and find the correct color wire leaving the ignition switch and back probe it, that'd be a quick, cheap, and easy way to make sure you don't have a broken wire between the switch and the fuse box.

Re: No power to the transmission fuze?
Did you already replace the ign switch? If not, the tach and speedo issues are normal symptoms of the switch being bad, it can be anything from gauges not working, to no spark, to no fuel pump activation, to no starter engaging.

Re: No power to the transmission fuze?
IMO, I'd buy the one from the parts store, you may have a 'warranty' on the one from ebay, but it'll be worth the extra money be able to take it right back to where you bought it from if something happens again. Sucks to have to pay more, but the pain in the ass quotient weighs pretty heavily.

Re: No power to the transmission fuze?
Good luck, if you're dealing with a reputable ebay seller, then I'd say go for it. I've got about a 300 rating on ebay myself, and I have had almost all very good experiences. You can really save some serious money. On the trans solenoids front, I did a '95 K1500 ign. switch last summer for a guy who had replaced all of his solenoids twice because that's what people kept telling him was wrong with his tranny. New ignition switch=no more problems
