egr intake

I have a 4.3 s-10 I was wanting to put a duel plane possibly edelbrock intake on. My old intake has a egr valve and it's been causing me problems. I was wondering if I can put a non-egr intake on it?

Re: egr intake

You can... but probably shouldn't. You'll get less gas mileage, run hotter, and pollute more. All that with no performance gain. You'll also have the SES light on constantly with no way to turn it off. Of course you'd also have to find something to plug the hole in the exhaust. I would personally get one with EGR and just fix the problem with the system.

So I go to this get-together at a friends house, not remembering it's a few days before Halloween. I see a bunch of dirty looking strangers. Then I see a guy that was clearly wearing a Halloween costume and I make the connection, and say "Oh yeah, Halloween... y'all goin' as a group of bums?". Turns out they weren't wearing costumes.

Re: egr intake

I believe they were talking about a product called "sea foam". I have never used it, but have seen on several post's where it has been used in the gas tank, oil, and intake. If you have the engine pulled apart clean it up the best you can first.
