This Damn Neighborhood!!

Ok, so I come home today and my moms tells me that the stereo was stolen out of her car last night ... I go out there, and not only did they jack it, they jacked the shit that changes it from dual DIN to single DIN so now I gotta go all the way out to fuckin sacramento and get a new one of those also ... my dad gets back from kansas sometime next week, so we will probably end up putting an alarm on the accord also which means another trip to modesto. Hopefully I can convince my parents to buy my JVC KD-S680 from me which is already all prewired for teh honda, and then I can get myself the alpine deck ive always wanted.

Anyways, just needed to vent cause this shit is really getting so fucking old living in Napa of all places.

sucks dude, when my sister had her nissaon 240x, or whatever it got broken into a couple times, even when she had her little ford tempo, stole her, subs, amp, front alpine speakers..but left the head unit..ha ha ha. but yea that sucks, thats y im kinda glad that i dont have anything too expensive in my car right now.

and yea i suggest a camera on a motion sensor so when a light comes on or w/e it starts recording, where thinkin of doin that next time something happens, we just put a 2nd motion light up thats bright as fuck because someone smashed by bros driver side mirror one night, we think it was the drunk asshole 4 doors up cuz we "speed" up the street:rolleyes: lol if u saw our street u cant go more then 40 km/h before ur at the stop sign lol but yea were gonna get one next time something happens 2 one of our cars, i'm just glad they left my hatchie alone :)

Must have hit up a different car then, my moms car had a 5 year old sony cd player. And yes, it would have been awesome if they did drop the wallet.

And fuck the cops around here, they couldnt tell a theif if he went to the police station and turned himself in.

How many times I gotta tell you guys the cops here are completly worthless ... like the time someone stole the BACK WINDOW out of my moms old blazer, we called em, they sent out community services, the guy took some notes, and that was it ... waste of our time and theirs.

dude thats the way the law works ... a window isnt exactly easy to pick out dude ... its glass ... kinda see through?! exactly the same as most of the others ...

Stereos have serial numbers and theres so many models its kinda easier to pick out the one you reported when they find em. Dude do yourself a favor and give those cops something to do even if it is paperwork.

I still say fuck the police ... I reported my stereo when it was stolen the first time 1 year ago ... my neighbors reported theirs when the window was broken out of their toyota pickup truck ... those cops couldnt catch a cold. I remmeber one time my friend was going like 50 in a 30 in his accord, and a cop turns on the lights, so he makes a couple of quick rights into a residential, pulls into someones driveway and cuts the lights, and the cop goes right fuckin past us, SHINES THE SPOTLIGHT ON THE CAR and still didnt do shit.

Update ... talked to my dad, he still isnt quite sure about the alarm but he agrees that we need to do something, so either an alarm or security camera on the house ... we will see.

I was also considering the alpine CDA-9811 for a while, but cant justify spending that much.

Get A JVC or Panasonic, they are pretty cheap and my JVC is easy to use.(I like the buttons and everything).

As far as theft, it isnt worth reporting, Ive had like 20 friends report things in the cuts and nothing happens, but when you call the cops and live in a nice rich area they usually find them. Its jacked, but true.

here a few possibilities:
-invest in an AK-47
-or, get your hands on a couple pitbulls, rotties, or dobbermans
-the alarm also works well, so when that goes off in the middle of the night, the AK comes out!
-lets see here...tasers sound like fun too..50,000 volts of electricity
-hmm, realistically speaking, you should just get a couple(or few) flood lights run by censors..those work well, believe me. i have a 2 flood lights and they are run by a censor, and they are BRIGHT..

I know what you mean when you say cal sucks. I live in Sac and my buddy got his subs,deck and some 50 cds stollen. And just the other day some ass stoll both my Honda h's (losers).

I live in southern cali in a place called santee and its awsome here cuz all there is is little punk ass wanna be white power kids that just drink and smoke and are to lazy. They are a lot of nice civics here and there is a little 4th gen group forming and all the people wiht the modded out civics or just people wiht nice cars and good sound systems have never had anything stolen. But ya i am sorry to say i live in a hick town where everyone dirves a lifted truck or a mucle car but there are thoes few elite out there that break the mold LOL :D anyways ya down here in even san diego not much crap goes on everyone just wants to party lol anyways sorry to hear about that melt!

in boise i live in a nice ass neighborhood, but our neighborhood is targeted bad. my neighbor bought a new tacoma and it was broken into 4 times in a month. first time they got past the factory alarm (not hard, but you gotta know what you are doing) and took the STOCK deck and speakers and shit. second time they got past a clifford RS 2 and got a new deck and speakers, third time, no alarm, but they took his radar detector, and fourth time they just trashed his car BAD. i park my car in the garage every night down there for that reason.

moscow where i go to school (univ. of idaho) is nice. i could leave my doors unlocked 24/7 and it would be fine. and this is in a COLLEGE town. no one gives a fuck. you are more likely to get your car trashed just cuz someone doesn't like you.

Update ... went snowboarding yesterday (glorious day until it started snowing, ill post pics later) but anyways, on the way back I got the wire harness and the piece they stole also at a grand total of 32.20 ... so thats my project when I get back from mountain biking today, put the deck in, ill be sure to take some pics of the install.

bump ... so there is this guy who lives behind me with an 89 accord coupe rolling on chrome tribars ... walking my dog yesterday and saw him out there putting it on all spares. Said he came out and his shit was on blocks. :(
