Re: Need help/info with 1998 Audi A4 1.8T
75,000 miles on a vehicle going on 12 years old I consider excellent and way below average, however here are some pointers to consider.
(1) The technology in an Audi rates near the top with me, it's a fine machine, however should the vehicle have mechanical issues down the road you better have a deep valet
(2) I don't know your province of residence to be able to calculate the exact taxes, but I will assume you will be looking at over $9000. (CDN) on the road, and that with me don't sit well with most vehicle's going on 12 years old.
(3) The average vehicle depreciate approx $2500. a year from being one model year old till six, that means if you can drive this vehicle for about 4 years without major issues your investment will have been secured " something to ponder on "
If you have the time to spare here are some steps I recommend should you persue the transaction, read the following links on my website in order.
1... The Test Drive
2... Take to Mechanic
3... Trade In
4...Negotiate
Good luck

A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per year.
Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year.
That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.
Kind of makes you proud to be an American.
