86-87 ecm check codes

Is there something special to get the ses codes off the 86-87? Shorting pin a to pin b only makes the light flash fast. It has a SES light on so want to check it.

Alternatively I could use a pinout for the computer.

It should flash a sequence if you jumped the right pins, go to troublecodes.net for the how to and code info.

No only on Cadillac it did.
