runs great now
runs great but it idles at 1800 rpm's, way to fast, sorry, 95 intrepid 3.5L V-6 115k miles ond no codes.
had coil wiring problems, but i think i have that issue worked out, found out the coil pack was installed upside down, and, i have a restart issue also, it will start when its cold but drive it around for 10-15 min. shut it off and it will not start untill its cooled off, is there some sensor that may be the culprit? there is a new coil pack, wires and plugs.
help please, chris

Symptons you are explaining about restart to me points to the crankshaft sensor.
Does the idle rpm stay the same cold or warm engine temp??? Check the IAC (Idle Air Control) could be stuck.
Check the Throttle Position Sensor also.
Send me a PM with your email address and I will send you some info.

Re: runs great now
Not sure if this will help or not but worth a try, Disconnect the negative battery cable for 3 to 5 minutes to reset the computers. Since the wires were not correct it possibly told the PCM incorrect readings and the PCM uses them now for the idle. I know if the IAC is not working properly and you remove it you need to disconnect battery to set the computer values back normal.

Re: dosent run great now
code 11 now, no crank referance signal detected during engine cranking.
is this refering to the crannkshaft position sensor? it will start every time stone cold but drive it around a bit and it will not start until it cools off, help im going nuts with all these sensor issues, if it tells me one day its the throttle position sensor then this then something tomarrow.
so far i have had the following codes come out of the puter:
11
12
42
24
and 55 which is end of messages.
ill post tomarrow the next code it gives out
