Hello. I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee. It reportedly needs a new PCM installed. My dealer quoted me an installed price of $700 and some change. Does this sound reasonable? Thanks.

Anything that comes from the dealer is UNreasonable!

$700.00 installed by a dealership isn't that bad, the PCM runs $400.00-$500.00.
Check your warranty, not sure about an '04, but for the 2000-2001 model years the PCM is covered for 8 years, 80,000 miles.

Well guess what fellas? My PCM just went bad again, after about 14 months and 10,000 miles. This is just rediculous. I will call the dealer tomorrow and check out the warranty on that part. Garbage!
