cam shafts?

so basically im lookin to buy a 350 to rebuild and use for racing. Ive built one engine before years ago, but this is my first performance rebuild ive ever done. I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with bbc engines know what kind of cam i am looking for. Basically this car will not be used for street so i dont need much driveability. What I want is for that engine to seem like it wants to just die when its at idle, but scream when opened up and get maximum hp. In a nutshell what I plan on rebuilding the engine from just a block with a 400 crank, and supercharge it. I have not figured out details as far as fuel, compression and such. Any advice would be helpful.
