3.0L Timing cover coolant leak 99 ranger

you can smell antifreeze whenever you park truck, it leaks on the pass side of the motor from the timing chain cover to the outside of the motor doesn't even hit the ground at this point, it is not the water pump, anyone else run into this, i can fix it, just concerned if it will get antifreeze in the crankcase if i don't fix it right away, it's just a minimal leak at this point , wasn't planing on fixing it rite away since it's be going on a few months now thanks
