91 mr2 shifter??

My shifter on my 91 mr2 turbo is off. I want know if there is a way to adjust it so it's straight again. The pic. will show you what i mean.


Mine works like this. When i move the shifter from left to right when in neutral, it moves slanted like the pic.



I think it is Suppose to work like this.

It is a cable shift transmission, it will have some slop in it. you could check to make sure the mounting points are all tight above the tunnel.
