1995 monte carlo tranny swap question.

Hello,i have a 95 monte carlo with a 3.4 and the tranny,s bad.will a 3.1 tranny from a 92 corsica interchange? Thanks

I don't believe the electronics are the same even though it will bolt up. Also, the tranny for the corsica is 18 years old and built for a car with only 130 hp. I wouldn't put it on a heavier newer car with 160 hp.

Your engine makes 210 hp 215 tq and would tear the corsica transmission apart. You need a 4t60 transmission from a 91-94 lumina z34, a 95-96 monte z34 or a early 90s grand prix or cutlass supreme with the 3.4 in it.
