1983 ZX Auto Trans-Need swap info

I have a 1983 280zx 2 seater-the auto transmission is bad & I want to use a 1982 in its place. Is this possible?????????? I know that there is some difference in them but it seems to deal with a sensor coming off the front pump. If you know the answer, please respond
