I have just hit 30.000 miles and only when first time taking off from park I
hear a clunking noise from front drive line .Will vary from distance on take off and speeds.Only makes noise once.?? caliper sticking??.No wheel pull prior to sound.Feels like coming from passanger front wheel area. From new
car has had brake work from 3k ,7k and 11k.Rotors turned and wheel sensor replacements from front to rear.

Re: 2005 monty front end clunking noise

i ran into this with an olds intregue, this may not make sense to you, it doesnt to me either, but u have had wheel speed sensor work done, therefore it has had wheel bearings put in it. i would put money on a front wheel bearing. the intregue would only do it on initial take off, and would do it really loud with the wheels turned either way, just a thought, and may be somthing you could do youirself, or have a friend do. just remember, proper torque is essential.
