2002 Golf 8 valve cylinderhead swap

Hey!!!

Does anybody know if the 8 valve cylinderhead from the 2002 Golf can be swapped with a 16 valve cylinderhead or the 20 valve or the 24 valve cylinderhead because I really want to get the 4 door golf but it doesn't pack the punch I need even if I add a turbo. So if anybody has any info on it pleaz tell me.

THANX
PEACE!!!!:smoker2: :grey: :sun: :bandit:

The 24v VR6 head won't fit, obviously.
A 16v/20v head would fit with a little bit of modification, water/oil drain holes.
My question is why? A 8v turbo would be easier, cheaper and give more power. Even a 1.8t swap would be easier, and probably cheeper too.

Hey!!!

HOLD UP!!! You said you can get more horses out of the 8 valve then out of a 16 valve or 20 valve?!? Really??? I did not know that. This shows you can learn new stuff everyday.
Are you sure? I'll trust you cause your a moderator and all.
So what company would you recommend for an 8 valve Turbo kit?

THANX!!!!

You'll get more power out of a 8v turbocharged engine, than a naturally aspirated 16v or 20v engine. But if you are willing to spend the extra money on fitting a 16v/20v head, you will see some power gains.
For a 8v turbo kit, contact your local ATP dealer, http://www.8vturbo.com/misc/contactinfo.asp
