Re: 96 b2300 front rotor

Is there a retaining screw attaching the rotor to the hub ?

If the retaining screw is not there, more than likely youyr rotor is rusted to hub. If this is the case then high tech. techniques are required.

Usually I use a 2 pound brass hammer and hit the rotor top, bottom, side to side. The hammer MUST be one made of soft metal,i.e. brass, bronze, etc.
If not damage to the rotor will occur.

Re: 96 b2300 front rotor

You have checked to make sure the retaining screw is removed from the rotor to hub hole ?

I have seen a few that took me a hour to remove. On those I sprayed PB Blaster, (Carquest), in the area around the studs and kept rotating the rotor and soaking it. It will come off, ( eventually).
