Rough Sketch

Here is what my ROUGH sketches are like.. I laugh when Lemorris shows his "ROUGH" work..and it looks better than my finished work... hahaa... so tone it down Lemorris.... Thought i would show what i just did.. about 8 minutes work..then a second draft to darken it for the scanner...

not sure if i will go too far with it...just messing around though...

Re: Rough Sketch

It's all relative man, trust me.

I have seen some work posted today by some of the big wigs that made me want to quit art all together.

Keep the pursuit within the realms of where you are. Your true measure of ability is in you. My work doesn't compare to yours.

Do you have a light box or light table?

Invest in one if you don't. Lightbox cost ~$30 more than worth every penny.

nice job

Re: Rough Sketch

My light table is the simplest of simple. 4 lights in a box, glass top and a switch.

A friend of mine built it 17 or more years ago.

I use it religiously. By transferring what I have sketched onto a clean piece of paper and tightening up the lines it take the work to a higher level. It's one of the tools the pros use. You'll love t.

Re: Rough Sketch

To think I put down the drawing pencil when I left high school. I wonder how things would look now...

Anyways, good looking rough sketch.
